The Integrations Architect will define, build and govern Rose Paving’s enterprise integration platform using Workato. This role will translate business and technology needs into secure, scalable integrations that connect core applications and improve business processes.
- Define the enterprise integration architecture, standards and roadmap using Workato.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, IT and other teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, build, test and deploy Workato recipes, workflows and orchestrations.
- Establish reusable patterns for APIs, webhooks, event-driven workflows, scheduled jobs and batch interfaces.
- Develop custom connectors using the Workato Connector SDK when needed.
- Design integrations with appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption and access controls.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, error handling, retry strategies and support runbooks.
- Establish versioning, release-management and environment-promotion practices.
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses, applications and partners.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues and performance problems.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, interface specifications, data mappings and technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve integration reliability, scalability and user experience.
Qualifications
What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in integration architecture, integration engineering, automation engineering or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations using Workato or a comparable iPaaS platform.
- Strong knowledge of Workato recipes, callable recipes, API Platform, lookup tables, workspaces and error handling.
- Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, secure file transfers, JSON, XML and common authentication methods.
- Experience developing custom connectors or integration components using SDKs, scripting or code.
- Knowledge of integration patterns including synchronous and asynchronous processing, event-driven design, idempotency, retries and dead-letter handling.
- Experience with integration governance, documentation, lifecycle management, Git/source control and CI/CD practices.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management, encryption and secrets management.
- Ability to lead initiatives from discovery through production and explain technical tradeoffs to varied audiences.
- Strong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, HR, finance, field-service or other business-critical applications is preferred.
- Experience supporting high-growth, acquisition-driven or multi-location organizations is preferred.
