Responsibilities:

The Business Central Developer will be responsible for the development, configuration and ongoing support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at Rose Paving. Day-to-day activities include: the following:

• Develop, configure, test and deploy solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Work alongside an external Business Central expert on solution design and development throughout the reimplementation
• Develop Business Central extensions and custom functionality using AL and Visual Studio Code
• Configure Business Central using standard platform capabilities while minimizing unnecessary customization
• Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and other business applications
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales and other functional teams to translate business requirements into effective system solutions
• Support data migration, testing and validation throughout the implementation
• Troubleshoot and resolve Business Central application, development and integration issues
• Maintain source code, technical documentation and development standards
• Develop reports, workflows and automations to improve business processes and decision-making
• Build deep knowledge of Rose Paving's Business Central environment and increasingly take ownership of development and technical support from external partners
• Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, reliability and user experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development experience
• Strong experience developing in AL and working with Business Central extensions
• Experience with Visual Studio Code, Git/source control, DataNest, APIs and system integrations
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases and data structures
• Experience with Azure, Power BI, Power Automate or other Microsoft technologies is a plus
• Full lifecycle Business Central implementation or reimplementation experience is strongly preferred
• MB-820 Business Central Developer certification is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into practical technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
