What you'll be doing
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations and supporting approximately 15 Rose Paving office locations nationwide. This role will manage one HR Generalist and serve as both a strategic and operational partner to leaders and employees across the organization. Reporting to the VP of HR, the HR Manager will oversee employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, investigations, benefits administration, compliance, and employee lifecycle changes while ensuring HR operations run smoothly and in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
This role will also partner closely with the current HR Manager to support company-wide initiatives including Learning & Development, Internal Mobility Programs, and Compensation initiatives.
You will be responsible for...
- Manage and support one HR Generalist while overseeing HR operations for approximately 15 company office locations nationwide.
- Partner with operational leaders to support day-to-day employee needs including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, leave administration, and policy guidance.
- Act as a strategic HR partner to leadership teams within assigned regions.
- Lead employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance-related discussions while ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Support company-wide HR initiatives including Learning & Development, Internal Mobility Programs, and Compensation projects in partnership with the current HR Manager.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS system and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Administer employee benefits programs, open enrollment, and serve as a liaison between employees and benefits providers.
- Support managers with coaching, corrective actions, and employee development initiatives.
- Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and company initiatives.
- Track and report HR metrics including turnover, headcount, staffing trends, and employee engagement.
- Ensure confidential handling of sensitive employee information and HR documentation.
- Support audits, compliance initiatives, and maintain accurate HR records and reporting.
- Travel approximately 15–20% as needed to support regional office locations and business initiatives.
What skills & experience you'll bring to us
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and investigations.
- Previous leadership or team management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and multi-state employment regulations.
- Experience supporting operational or multi-location environments preferred.
- Experience working within Paycom is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems such as Paycom, ADP, or BambooHR.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
