What you'll be doing
The Asphalt/Paving Maintenance Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising a crew engaged in asphalt and pavement maintenance projects. This includes planning, coordinating, and overseeing tasks such as pothole repair, crack sealing, milling, resurfacing, and striping to ensure high-quality work and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of paving and maintenance crews.

Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Oversee preparation of job sites, including equipment and materials.

Ensure proper application of asphalt materials and techniques.

Monitor crew performance and provide training as needed.

Operate or oversee operation of paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, tack trucks, and milling machines.

Maintain daily logs and documentation, including timekeeping and material usage.

Ensure job sites are compliant with safety regulations and company policies.

Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and clients regarding project progress and issues.

Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
What skills & experience you'll bring to us
- High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 3 years of concrete finishing experience. • Valid driver's license required (Class A CDL is a plus). • Strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques for flat and structural surfaces. • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure in outdoor conditions. • Detail-oriented with experience using hand tools and specialized equipment for concrete finishing. • Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks (lifting up to 60 lbs., bending, digging, climbing) and working in various weather conditions. • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, with effective communication across all levels. • Experience with safety procedures and practices in construction environments. • Strong problem-solving skills and a dedication to quality work.
