Position Summary

The leading Central PA & MD Plumbing & Heating Wholesaler is growing. The Sales Support & Training Specialist plays a key role in strengthening the overall effectiveness of the sales organization by leading training, onboarding, CRM utilization, and sales support processes. This position is responsible for building consistency in product knowledge, sales processes, and skill development across inside sales, counter sales, showroom sales, and outside sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Lead the development, organization, and continuous improvement of the sales training program.
  • Design and deliver training focused on product knowledge, sales processes, sales skills, CRM usage, and customer experience.
  • Support onboarding for all sales roles, including inside, counter, showroom, and outside sales.
  • Create and maintain training materials such as guides, checklists, reference tools, and process documentation.
  • Partner with the VP of Sales and sales managers to identify training needs and performance gaps.
  • Assist with ongoing sales meetings, training sessions, and development initiatives.

Sales Support & Process Improvement

  • Create and maintain sales scorecards, CRM tools, reports, and tracking processes.
  • Drive improvement in CRM usage, data accuracy, adoption, and accountability across the sales team.
  • Document and standardize sales processes, best practices, and performance expectations.
  • Provide general support to the sales organization to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong interest in training, coaching, and developing sales talent.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistent in execution.
  • Experience creating training materials, scorecards, and process documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, reporting tools, and sales data.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse sales roles and locations.
  • Ability to simplify processes and create user-friendly tools and resources.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting team success and delivering a high-quality customer experience.
