Perennial Services Group is a family of home service companies operating across the country, and one of ours sits here in Union County, about thirty minutes east of uptown Charlotte. The branch takes care of residential and commercial properties year-round, which means the phone rings all day, crews roll out every morning, and invoices go out behind them. It is a small office by design, so all of that runs across the same few desks instead of being split up between departments.
This is the desk where it comes together. You are the first voice a customer hears and the link between the office and the crews in the field, so when someone calls with a question or a problem, it is yours from that moment until it is handled. The money runs through you too, because billing, collections and payroll coordination all land here, and you work side by side with the General Manager, which means you get to see how a call at eight in the morning turns into an invoice that clears.
It is built for someone who has been coordinating service, dispatch, billing or administration at a field services company and is ready to own more of it. The branch is growing, so the scope of this seat grows right along with it, and the person who does this well becomes the one everybody in the building goes to first.
What You'll Own
You will own the systems and the follow-through that keep customers, the field, and the office connected.
- The customer experience. Answering calls and email, handling account and service questions, following up on quotes and proposals, working callbacks through to a fix, and keeping people in the loop from the first conversation through the work getting done.
- Scheduling, routing and dispatch. Building the daily schedule and the routes, releasing work tickets and work orders, staying in communication with technicians and field leadership, supporting the production schedule, and keeping the handoff from sales to service clean.
- Billing, accounts receivable, and collections. Invoicing, customer payments, prepay and renewal billing, aging balances, reporting, vendor coordination, and the follow-through it takes to keep accounts current.
- Payroll coordination and employee administration. Timecards and payroll inputs, onboarding documentation, and employee records, handled with professionalism and discretion. Payroll is processed at the corporate level, so this seat coordinates it rather than running it end to end.
- The systems and the details. Keep customer, service, and account information accurate in the CRM and other business tools, and make sure the right information reaches the right people without anyone having to chase it.
What You'll Need
- Two or more years supporting the office or service side of a field services business. Lawn care, landscaping, pest control, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, pool, septic, restoration, garage door, or commercial facilities and equipment service. If you have coordinated service for a company that sends technicians out every morning, you have the foundation for this role.
- Confident customer communication, including the difficult calls. You stay composed, take ownership of the problem, and leave the customer better than you found them.
- Hands-on experience with billing and accounts receivable. Invoices, customer payments, aging balances, and past-due follow-up.
- Working comfort in a CRM or service scheduling platform. Real Green, Service Autopilot, Aspire, ServiceTitan, Jobber, PestPac or anything comparable. The platform itself matters less than the habit, so if you have run a full day out of one, you can run ours.
What Will Set You Apart
These are preferred, not required. We would rather hire the right person and train the rest.
- Green industry background. Lawn care, landscaping, turf, plant health care, or outdoor pest control means you already understand the customers, the seasonality, and the connection between the field and the office. Coming from HVAC or plumbing, the rhythm of the work will feel familiar.
- Payroll and employee administration experience. Hands-on time with ADP or a comparable HRIS and payroll platform will help you get up to speed quickly.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay for this role begins at $48,000 annually and goes up from there depending on the experience you bring. This is a full-time, year-round, salaried seat, and in an industry where many office roles are hourly and seasonal, this one is neither.
Beyond the paycheck, the benefits are built to take care of you:
- Health coverage. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with HSA and FSA options available.
- A 401(k) match worth using. Safe Harbor 401(k) with company match up to 4 percent and immediate 100 percent vesting, with Roth and traditional contribution options.
- Protection for the unexpected. Optional life and AD&D, short- and long-term disability, and other voluntary coverage at group rates.
- Support for real life. Access to a confidential employee assistance program and additional voluntary benefits.
- Time away from work. Paid time off and company holidays.
- Professional development. Ongoing training and development support so you can keep building your knowledge, your confidence, and the value you bring to the branch.
