About Perennial Services Group (PSG)

Perennial Services Group is a rapidly growing platform of leading home services brands across landscaping, turf, pest control, arbor, irrigation, and plant health care. We partner with exceptional local operators and provide the infrastructure, systems, and support to help them scale and reach their full potential. As we continue to grow, building a best-in-class data foundation is critical to how we operate, make decisions, and drive performance across the platform.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer to help build and scale PSG’s data infrastructure. This role sits at the foundation of our data and analytics function. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the pipelines, data models, and systems that power reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the business. You will work closely with the Director of Strategy & Analytics, Finance, and Operations to ensure that data is clean, reliable, and structured in a way that reflects how the business actually operates. This is a hands-on role. You will spend the majority of your time building pipelines, optimizing data models, and ensuring our data stack (Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, Power BI) is scalable and performant. At the same time, you’ll have exposure to the business and see how your work directly enables better decisions across PSG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Fivetran and dbt; develop clean, structured data models in Snowflake
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems; monitor and resolve pipeline issues
  • Support integrations across core systems (Aspire, Real Green, FieldRoutes, ServiceTitan, Acumatica, ADP)
  • Enable business intelligence by delivering clean datasets for Power BI dashboards
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis in Snowflake to support operational and financial decisions
  • Document pipelines and enforce data governance and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in data engineering, analytics, or BI development
  • Strong SQL and experience building analytical data models
  • Experience with Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake (or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Experience building automated data pipelines and workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with REST APIs and/or Python (AWS Lambda a plus)
  • Exposure to Finance / FP&A workflows
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and business teams

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a strategy or consulting role
  • Not a dashboard-only BI role
  • Not disconnected from the business

What Success Looks Like in Year 1

  • Establish scalable and reliable data pipeline architecture
  • Improve data quality and consistency across systems
  • Enable faster, more accurate reporting
  • Increase automation and reduce manual data work
  • Become a trusted partner to analytics and business teams

Compliance Requirements

  • Employment Eligibility: All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Form I‑9 verification process, including E‑Verify where applicable.
  • Background Check: Offers of employment may be subject to a standard background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Confidentiality: This role requires handling sensitive business and operational data. Employees must adhere to PSG’s data governance, security, and confidentiality policies at all times.

Physical Requirements

This role is primarily remote and computer based. To perform the essential functions of the job, candidates should be able to:

  • Sit or remain at a workstation for extended periods
  • Operate a computer, keyboard, and mouse
  • Participate in virtual meetings and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats
  • Occasionally lift or carry items up to 10 pounds (e.g., laptop, equipment)

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Why Join Perennial?

You’ll play a foundational role in building the data infrastructure of a rapidly scaling platform. This is an opportunity to design systems from the ground up, work closely with operators and leadership, and see your work directly impact how the business runs.

If you enjoy building clean, scalable systems and want to see your work drive real-world outcomes, we’d love to meet you.
