Payentry is actively seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Client Service Department. Payroll Specialists process payroll for clients on a daily basis and assist with payroll distribution, while also providing the highest quality of customer service. This position is responsible for handling a high volume of inbound customer service phone calls and also high levels of data entry to enter payroll data into the payroll system accurately and efficiently.

- Inbound phone and email-based customer service
- Review of all information for completeness and accuracy
- Report potential issues to customers
- Calculate and process all payroll-related changes
- Act as primary contact for clients regarding payroll concerns as needed
- Research and resolve any customer or system problems
- Verify payroll output against payroll reports and registers prior to distribution of checks to maintain accuracy
- Assist with payroll shipments and packages
- Other related duties as assigned
- College degree or combination of education and work experience preferred
- 1-3 years of customer-facing customer support experience preferred
- Strong mental math and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively and professionally
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Applications
- Strong computer and computer programs/ systems skills
- Ability to work individually and also on a team with tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Ability to handle high inbound phone volume and inbound email and service tickets volume
