Position Overview

The Director, Sales Center of Excellence is responsible for developing, standardizing, and continuously improving the sales operating model across Origin Exterior Partners' operating companies. This role partners closely with Operating Company leadership to implement best practices, improve sales performance, develop talent, establish common KPIs, and support acquisition integration while allowing local leaders to maintain ownership of day-to-day execution.

The role is an enterprise resource rather than an operational sales leader.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Process

  • Develop standardized sales processes across all brands.
  • Identify and implement best practices.
  • Improve sales conversion and close rates.
  • Standardize CRM utilization.
  • Evaluate new sales technologies.

Sales Performance

  • Develop enterprise sales scorecards.
  • Define leading and lagging KPIs.
  • Analyze trends across OpCos.
  • Recommend performance improvements.
  • Build executive reporting dashboards.

Sales Leadership Development

  • Coach Sales Managers.
  • Develop onboarding curriculum.
  • Build leadership training.
  • Create sales playbooks.
  • Assist with succession planning.

M&A Integration (Core to the role: OEP's acquisition strategy is ongoing. This role should expect continued, recurring integration work as a core part of the job, not an occasional project.)

  • Assess acquired sales organizations.
  • Implement enterprise standards.
  • Identify quick wins.
  • Develop 100-day integration plans.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Evaluate commission plans.
  • Recommend compensation improvements.
  • Ensure plans drive desired behaviors.
  • Benchmark market practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Marketing, HR, Finance, and IT to improve customer acquisition, customer experience, and sales productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years progressive sales leadership experience.
  • Multi-location sales leadership.
  • Experience building sales systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Executive presentation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Private equity-backed company experience.
  • Acquisition integration experience.
  • Construction, home services, or building products experience.
  • CRM implementation experience.

Location & Travel

Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Willing to travel as needed.

Compensation

Competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and equity participation.
