Company Overview

Founded in 2025, Origin Exterior Partners (OEP) partners with market-leading service providers across the United States in the premium residential and commercial fencing, decking, and hardscapes markets. OEP enables founders and business owners to preserve their legacy and local brand identity while gaining access to strategic, financial, and operating resources that support long-term growth. Our network is composed of leading operators and high-performing teams committed to exceptional craftsmanship and customer service.

Position Overview

Origin Exterior Partners is building a platform-level Vice President (VP), Growth role to translate the company’s growth strategy and value creation plans into execution across its operating companies. This is not a sales, marketing, or business development role; it is an execution and program leadership function focused on organic growth: new location launches, new service lines, and market expansion.

The VP, Growth partners directly with Presidents and General Managers, who retain full P&L ownership of their businesses, to build the business case, resourcing plan, and execution playbook behind each growth initiative, then drives the cross-functional work required to get it launched and stabilized. The role reports to the Platform President and works closely with the executive team to create visibility into growth pipeline, investment requirements, and return on execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the platform’s execution lead for organic growth, translating OEP’s value creation plan into initiative-level business cases and launch plans.
  • Partner with operating company Presidents/GMs to identify, prioritize, and sequence growth opportunities within their markets.
  • Build repeatable playbooks for greenfield launches, new service lines, and market expansion so growth execution scales with the platform rather than depending on any one operator.
  • Establish KPIs for each growth initiative and track performance from business case through post-launch stabilization.
  • Identify barriers to growth, including capital, talent, systems, or process, and work with platform and operating company leadership to remove them.
  • Create leadership-level visibility into growth pipeline status, investment requirements, risks, and ROI.

Growth & Value Creation Responsibilities

  • Translate OEP’s enterprise growth strategy and each operating company’s value creation plan into a concrete, resourced execution roadmap.
  • Evaluate organic growth opportunities, including new locations, new service lines, and adjacent markets, and build the financial case for each.
  • Support annual and multi-year growth planning in partnership with operating company leadership and the executive team.
  • Monitor initiative performance against plan and recommend course corrections.

New Market / Greenfield Expansion Responsibilities

  • Own the greenfield process end-to-end: business case, site/market evaluation, financial assumptions, resourcing, timeline, and launch execution.
  • Coordinate the cross-functional work required to open a new location, including real estate, staffing, systems, marketing, and operational readiness.
  • Define and track stabilization milestones post-launch, transitioning full ownership to the operating company leadership once a location reaches steady state.
  • Capture lessons from each launch to continuously improve the greenfield playbook.

Operating Company Partnership

  • Operate as a platform partner and execution resource to Presidents/GMs, not as a layer between them and their business.
  • Provide structure, analytical support, and cross-functional coordination that help operators move faster on growth initiatives they own.
  • Maintain clear accountability boundaries: operating company leadership retains P&L ownership and final decision authority for their market.
  • Build credibility with entrepreneurial operators through hands-on execution support, not top-down direction.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Build and stress-test financial models and business cases for growth initiatives, including capital requirements, ramp assumptions, and expected returns.
  • Partner with Finance to align growth investment requests with the platform’s capital planning and reporting cadence.
  • Define and report initiative-level KPIs (e.g., time-to-launch, ramp-to-target-revenue, unit economics at stabilization) to platform and PE-sponsor leadership.
  • Flag underperforming initiatives early and drive corrective action in partnership with operating company leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate across Operations, Finance, HR/Talent, Marketing, and IT to assemble the resources each growth initiative requires.
  • Drive alignment and execution across functions and operating companies through influence, structure, and credibility.
  • Represent growth initiative status and needs in platform leadership and sponsor-facing forums at the board of directors level.

Qualifications

  • Experience identifying, initiating, and driving significant value creation levers and plans in a fast-paced high-accountability environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and defend a business case, including financial modeling and ROI analysis.
  • P&L fluency and comfort operating alongside owner-operator or GM-led business leaders.
  • Strong project/program management discipline, able to run multiple concurrent initiatives with competing timelines.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive execution across functions without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in a decentralized, private equity-backed environment undergoing rapid, acquisition-driven growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent operating experience preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (MBB or equivalent), ideally in a role that extended past recommendation into implementation and measurable results.
  • Prior work with private equity-backed platforms, including multi-site expansion or buy-and-build strategies.
  • Track record launching new locations, markets, or branches from the ground up - site selection through to a fully staffed, revenue-generating operation.
  • Experience building a growth or expansion playbook and getting it adopted across multiple sites or business units.
  • Ownership of a P&L as a General Manager, or in an equivalent operating role, at a PE-backed services business.
  • Background in construction, home services, building products, distribution, field services, or another multi-location service business. Not required - strong greenfield execution experience from an adjacent multi-site industry is equally compelling.
  • Comfort operating as a right hand to the President, CEO, or CFO: setting the agenda one week, running the field install the next. Similar to a Chief of Staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organic growth through pricing, sales productivity, marketing, or share gain - not solely through acquisition.

Leadership Competencies

  • Commercially minded and financially literate: thinks in terms of unit economics, ROI, and enterprise value.
  • Operationally credible: can move between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Collaborative and low-ego: builds trust with entrepreneurial operators rather than dictating to them.
  • Structured and organized: brings rigor and repeatability to growth execution without over-engineering it.
  • Bias toward action: drives initiatives forward and removes blockers rather than escalating and waiting.

Location & Travel

This role requires significant consulting-like travel (estimated 50–80%, M-Th, variable by growth pipeline activity) to operating company markets, greenfield sites, and platform leadership meetings.

Compensation

Competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and equity participation.
