Job Overview Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for supporting and driving the performance of a team of mid-market Account Executives within a defined geographic region. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role focuses on day-to-day sales execution, pipeline management, quote oversight, and tactical coaching to help the team achieve booking targets.
The RSM serves as a hands-on leader who ensures deal velocity, accuracy, and technical alignment in the sales process—particularly within the security and fire solutions space. This role does not carry an individual quota but is accountable for the collective success of their team.
What you'll be doing (and doing well!):
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
- Actively manage and maintain team pipeline health to ensure consistent coverage and deal progression.
- Drive deal velocity by identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities within the pipeline.
- Hold Account Executives accountable for pipeline quality, accuracy, and forecasting.
Quote Review & Deal Support
- Review and approve quotes prior to customer delivery to ensure accuracy, margin integrity, and alignment with company standards.
- Provide tactical deal support, including pricing guidance, solution alignment, and technical validation.
- Assist with complex or strategic opportunities to improve win rates.
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 11–13 mid-market Account Executives.
- Provide ongoing coaching focused on improving sales execution, product knowledge, and closing effectiveness.
- Reinforce best practices and ensure adherence to sales processes and methodologies.
Bookings Accountability
- Own and report on team bookings performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Partner with the Director of Sales on forecasting, performance tracking, and gap analysis.
- Take accountability for team results and proactively address underperformance.
Technical Sales Support
- Act as a technical resource for the team, particularly within security and fire solutions.
- Support Account Executives in designing and positioning solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Bridge communication between sales and technical/operations teams when needed.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to ensure seamless execution of sold projects.
- Provide feedback from the field to improve offerings, processes, and customer experience.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Leadership & Team Management
- Experience managing or mentoring sales teams, ideally in a mid-market or B2B environment
- Proven ability to coach and develop Account Executives to improve performance
Sales Acumen & Execution
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and forecasting
- Experience supporting deals from qualification through close
Technical Expertise (Required)
- Experience selling in the security and/or fire industry
- Ability to understand and support technical solutions in a sales environment
Communication & Relationship-Building
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across internal teams and customer stakeholders
- Ability to influence and guide both direct reports and cross-functional partners
Analytical & Problem-Solving
- Ability to assess pipeline data, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
- Skilled at resolving deal challenges and removing barriers to close
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
- Relevant industry certifications or technical training are a plus
