Healthcare Benefit Specialist (Bridgeton, MO)
Position Summary - Help union members and their families understand and access their healthcare benefits. As a Healthcare Benefit Specialist, you'll be part of a collaborative team that assists members with eligibility, medical, dental, vision, disability, and reimbursement benefits while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do
  • Assist members and providers with benefit and eligibility questions by phone and email.
  • Process enrollments, eligibility updates, COBRA events, Medicare updates, and benefit changes.
  • Review claims and eligibility information for accuracy according to Plan rules.
  • Maintain accurate member records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Identify issues and help resolve member concerns promptly.
  • Support audits, reports, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service, healthcare, insurance, retirement, banking, or office administration experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience required; administrative systems experience is a plus.
  • No Taft-Hartley experience required—we provide comprehensive training.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Work Schedule - Full time. Monday - Friday schedule. Required in office (no at-home days).

Pay - Hourly rate ranges from $21.00 - $23.00. Actual rate dependent on location, skills, education, experience and other business factors.
