Pension Coordinator (Murray, UT)
Summary - Third Party Administrator is seeking a Pension Coordinator. Experience in the administration of retirement plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution plans, preferred but not required. Spanish as a second language is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Calculate and perform pension benefit calculations
  • Analyze and communicate resolutions to participant inquiries via phone or written correspondence
  • Produce and review standard reports, assist with reports, maintain records/files and account reconciliation
  • Review incoming forms for completion and accuracy; take appropriate corrective action
  • Provide additional support on special projects and other escalated tasks as needed
  • Set priorities and activities with direction while seeking to understand reasons for change
  • Develop an understanding of our customers, their needs, and how individual work contributes to overall success
  • Work with guidance to respond to the needs of customer promptly
  • Sets up files for new applications
  • Data entry of new application information
  • Determines eligibility for and calculates monthly benefits of members
  • Communicates with members through writing & phone calls
  • Prepares meeting reports for the Board of Trustees
  • Processes pension checks, including the stuffing of envelopes, posting, and printing manual checks
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills are a must
  • Be detail oriented with good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Be able to work well in a team environment
  • Have a customer satisfaction focus and team-oriented style
  • Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Have proven problem solving ability
  • Have good multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
  • Be proficient in Excel and Word
Education and/or Experience - High School diploma or GED and some college and/or job-related experience.
Language Skills - Ability to read documents and communicate professionally and clearly.
Mathematics Skills - Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must be able to understand and apply knowledge of decimals, fractions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
Work Schedule - Full time. Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Required in office (No at-home days).

Pay - Hourly rate ranges from $25.00 - $28.00. Actual rate dependent on location, skills, education, experience and other business factors.
