Pension Business Analyst (Troy, MI)
Summary – Responsibilities include assisting the Project Manager with implementing a new or upgrading an existing client on proprietary software applications. This includes defining requirements, creating, and implementing test plans, working with internal departments and external vendors, and training end users on software usage.
Applicant must live in Metro Detroit area as in-office days in the Troy office are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Provide analysis, definition, and direction to computer applications related development and maintenance activities
  • Compare, analyze, map, and review converted data for accuracy
  • Ensure correct business functionality, requirements, and industry standards are addressed within the software application
  • Develop detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data test plans
  • Review technical documents
  • Collect, develop, analyze, and edit Business Process Diagrams
  • Report comparison, development, and compilation
  • Quality assurance
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Education and Experience
  • Knowledge of pension related terminology; ability to understand and apply benefits as defined by the Summary Plan Descriptions
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to collaborate with clients and colleagues effectively, show dedication in completing tasks independently, within deadlines and with high standards
  • 2-3 years of pension administration experience - preferred
  • 2-3 years of general information technology experience – preferred
  • Background in Taft-Hartley Pension plan administration – preferred
Work Schedule - Full-time. Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
Requires in-office days but also offers at-home flexibility after 90 days, home base must be Metro Detroit, Michigan area.

Pay
The pay for this position is $50,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors.
