About Behavioral Innovations:
For over 25 years, Behavioral Innovations (BI) has been a leading provider committed to transforming lives by providing compassionate, center-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism, ages 18 months to 10 years. With more than 100+ locations across TX, OK, CO, VA, MD - and more to come - we’re continuing to expand rapidly. Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve.
Your Role and What You'll Do:
As a key member of the BI team, The Director of Family Success is responsible for shaping and elevating the role of parents and caregivers within BI’s care delivery model. This role leads both strategic planning and execution to ensure families completing care are prepared to apply ABA principles with confidence, advocate effectively for their child, and support successful transition into their next environment. The position integrates resource development, experience design, data analysis, and cross-area collaboration to deliver a consistent, high-quality family experience that directly supports clinical outcomes. A core focus of this role is defining, measuring, and improving family skill mastery at discharge through group parent training and transition-focused supports. The Director of Family Success will report to the Chief Clinical Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a multi-channel GTM strategy across education partnerships, advocacy organizations, and parent-facing pathways.
- Design and lead a comprehensive strategy for parent involvement that aligns with the child’s treatment of progression and the seasonal needs of families.
- Define what an exceptional parent growth looks like at each stage of care and build systems to consistently deliver it.
- Serve as a thought leader in the organization on parent-centered practices and family engagement.
- Create, monitor, and support the implementation of group parent training across the organization.
- Develop individualized and group-based educational tools and resources for families, integrating key topics such as school transitions, generalization, and advocacy.
- Systematize group learning opportunities through group parent training based on frequently occurring themes in care delivery.
- Ensure all resources are aligned with clinical best practices.
- Build and maintain a formal feedback loop with families to assess satisfaction, capture insights, and continuously improve care delivery.
- Use tools such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), parent engagement data, and progress toward parent goals to guide priorities and action.
- Create initiatives that highlight and address family needs, elevating both the experience and outcomes for parents.
- Serve as the Home office Champion of the Parent Community of Practice to expand and evolve our clinical best practices as it relates to parent engagement.
- Work closely with Compliance to ensure all parent engagement practices meet or exceed insurance carrier expectations and documentation requirements.
- Support the integration of parent-related requirements into clinical workflows without adding unnecessary burden to providers.
- Collaborate with the Area Director of Clinical Services to roll out tools, expectations, and parent initiatives to the field.
- Develop resources for the parents and BCBAs to successfully advocate for the child in the ARD process. Develop and implement engagement strategies for our BCBAs at the area and/or center level to engage with all major school districts with jurisdiction of our centers, ensuring we have strong partnerships with these districts. Our goal would be to support our families and BCBAs in planned and successful transitions to the next setting.
- Ensure field teams are equipped, trained, and supported in delivering exceptional family experience.
- Track and analyze key data sets including:
- Parent engagement hours (individualized and group parent training)
- Parent progress toward goals
- Care scores at discharge
- Planned vs Unplanned discharges
- NPS and other satisfaction metrics
- Other measures as the program develops
- Use data insights to inform tool development, process improvements, and field support.
- Position Outcomes:
- BCBAs deliver 100 billable group parent training hours companywide within a 6-month ramp period, once the person in the position starts.
- Improve discharge accuracy (companywide) by 15% in 2026.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required; Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in parent engagement, ABA care delivery, or program design, including leadership at the area or organization-wide level.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and educate parents both as a clinician and as a leader of strategic initiatives with measurable impact on family outcomes and care transitions.
- Proven clinical leadership experience, including effective management of a caseload of 10+ clients over multiple years and oversight of operations and clinical quality across four or more centers.
- Experience extending parent education beyond the ABA clinic, including collaboration with school systems and other community-based settings.
- Deep understanding of family-centered care models, ideally within ABA, educational, or related healthcare environments.
- Strong working knowledge of school-based transition processes, including ARD/IEP process & regulations, with demonstrated experience supporting families, BCBAs, and interdisciplinary teams through successful public-school transitions (10+ individual client transitions preferred).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to influence clinical and operational teams.
- Demonstrated reliance on data to inform decisions, evaluate effectiveness, and translate feedback into actionable improvements.
- Driven growth, data-informed execution, and cross-functional collaboration preferred.
