Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area

Position Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Hybrid role: Psychologists conduct in-person assessments at assigned centers and complete report writing and administrative tasks remotely.

Travel Expectations: 20%-40% travel to designated centers, meetings at the Corporate office, etc.

Your Role and What You'll Do:

As a Diagnosing Psychologist, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team committed to the early identification and support of children on the autism spectrum. You will conduct comprehensive psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations using a variety of standardized assessment measures to diagnose children on the autism spectrum. You will offer recommendations, make informed referrals, and provide clear, compassionate guidance to families based on testing data and formal evaluation results.

  • Conduct autism diagnostic evaluations for children using standardized tools.
  • Determine if the child meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder or requires referral for further testing.
  • Provide clear, scientific and evidence-based recommendations and referrals for treatment and follow-up care.
  • Write detailed, timely, and clinically sound evaluation reports.
  • Provide supervision to other staff as needed and when appropriate.
  • Travel to clinic locations as necessary (20%-40%).
  • Collaborate with the center director in ongoing program development, education and training as available, community outreach, and recruitment efforts as needed.

Requirements:

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of a doctoral internship from an APA-accredited internship.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Texas, Oklahoma, or Colorado.
  • Experience conducting autism diagnostic evaluations.
  • Previous work experience in Pediatric and/or child psychology with a focus on autism assessments strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong working knowledge of psychological principles, psychometrics and testing, diagnostic criteria; child development; and ethics.
  • Skill in the use of psychological evaluation and assessment techniques.
  • Has excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with children and their families from varied socio-economic, educational, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in arriving to appropriate conclusions, diagnoses, and recommending appropriate treatments.
  • Empathic quality in addressing the emotional needs of children.
  • Adherence to professional, legal and ethical regulations, as required by relevant regulatory bodies and the law.
  • Required to travel 20%-40% to designated centers, meetings at the Corporate office, etc.
