Your Role and What You'll Do:
Behavioral Innovations is seeking a Private Pay Representative to join our fast-growing healthcare company. In this position, you will primarily focus on managing and collecting private pay balances, as well as invoicing. You may also assist with reviewing and assessing insurance denials or returned claims when needed. Your ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies and clients is key to resolving issues, focusing on insurance carrier guidelines, company policies, research, and collection efforts. It is important to have a strong understanding of debits and credits, with the ability to reconcile accounts receivables. Must have excellent working knowledge and experience in Medical Billing. - Bill insurance claims twice weekly.
- Investigate all refund requests to ensure the request is valid.
- Call Payers to reverify insurance if a denial occurs after first billing.
- Initiate collections process on past-due accounts.
- Reconcile payer and customer accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Reviewing patients’ accounts.
- Identifying and investigating insurance claims issues to resolution/payment.
- Initiating claims adjustments and resubmission of claims to the insurance carrier.
- Identifying solutions and taking necessary actions to collect patient deductibles, co pays and co-insurance.
- Answering correspondence and responding to facilities request… questions -TASKS within 24 hr. of receipt.
- Continuing the notification process if reply is not received.
- Preparing reports and maintaining files.
- Completing prep arbitration.
- Timely medical records request for Appeal Process.
- Refunds follow up.
- Send secondary claims as soon as primary remit is received to avoid delays with payment.
- Reducing outstanding A/R and aging reports.
- Maintains a cooperative work environment to CFN (Concord Foundations Network) mission and values and to meet goals.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree preferred, or 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a behavioral health or medical clinic setting is preferred but not required.
- Well-versed in the understanding of revenue cycles.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and Billing Systems.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with teams, managers, and executive staff.
- Preferred Skills: High-quality work and excellent judgment, clear communication and problem-solving skills, ability to take initiative, resolve issues, and handle new tasks.
- Additional Skills: Resourcefulness, cooperation, and alignment with BI's core values in all interactions.
- This position requires onsite work at our corporate office in Addison, TX.
