Position Summary:
The Physician Liaison is key to growing our centers, reaching more families, and driving business growth in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. Their ability to drive awareness, positively position the brand and create lasting relationships with both new and existing clients will be critical for BI’s future. A Physician Liaison’s ability to powerfully convey our value proposition, build lasting relationships and educate our referral sources will be critical for Behavioral Innovation’s future growth. Using a data driven approach the Physician Liaison will find new markets and opportunities as well as grow the output from our existing client base in the physician referral community. Their primary focus is 2 part – build awareness and increase brand reach and secondarily, drive increased admission count. The ability to educate the market on our differentiating factors, build trust and credibility in the community and provide an introduction, through outbound means, for those that don’t yet know us will be critical for the Physician Liaison’s success in achieving admissions quota attainment. There will be a heavy focus on quality outbound activities, prospecting expectations and necessary work to generate a pipeline of referrals.
The Physician Liaison will work closely with the centers their territory supports as well as cross departmentally with Marketing, the Intake team and other departments to enhance the customer journey and experience. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building relationships in the physician referral community. This includes generating a list of key referral sources, partnering with these professionals and programs, developing innovative sales strategies, and making sure the leads in your territory are followed up within a timely and quality manner, resulting in sales/client admissions. The position will work in a fast-paced, high growth environment and will prioritize building and cultivating relationships both internally and externally to drive revenue growth, focus on hitting sales goals, and ensure profitability across their centers. This position will collaborate with the business development team, partnering closely with the Director of Outreach and Vice President of Sales & Outreach to reach these goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Play an integral role in the outreach and marketing efforts to physicians, hospital staff, and other key referral sources throughout the community through cold calling and scheduling face to face meetings to increase the recognition and direct referrals to Behavioral Innovation centers.
  • Research and build a list of prospective professionals and programs in your market to outreach to, creating a tailored sales pitch to meet their needs, ensuring all follow-up and closing requirements are addressed.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Sales and Support Team to meet or exceed revenue/growth goals.
  • Partnering with the admissions teams around the sales cycle, identify quality prospects and help close new business with the primary goal of increasing revenue and providing a top-notch customer experience.
  • Partner with Center staff to drive capacity levels and maximize utilization of hours.
  • Developing strategies to maintain relationships with current referral sources.
  • Document all business development activity appropriately in CRM daily.
  • Monitor and gain awareness of competition and activity in the market to proactively position Behavioral Innovations as the leading provider.
  • Attend industry and professional networking meetings that foster the appropriate business initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, health care, or other closely related field preferred.
  • Some knowledge of the healthcare industry and/or behavioral health experience preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years in business development, marketing, or equivalent area of expertise preferred.
  • Experience with demonstrated success in prospecting and new market development activities.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Track record of effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs and the ability to leverage strengths across program areas; excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to point to specific examples of having led organizational transformation projects and new business development activities.
